Gonzales' Corpse
Gonzales was a sailor who traveled with his friend, Pedro.

Backstory[]
During their travels, the two eventually came across a map of Daccat's Island, where the great air pirate Daccat hid all his treasure. Both Gonzales and Pedro split the map between them and promised to someday search for the treasure. Soon after acquiring the map, the two came under attack by Black Pirates and were forced to abandon ship. While Pedro ended up in Nasrad, Gonzales ultimately ended up on a deserted island.
In-Game[]
Presumably, Gonzales remained on the island for a very long time and likely hunted the Grapors that resided on the island for food. In the end though, Gonzales passed away. His remains were eventually found at a later date by Vyse who, much like Gonzales, became stranded on the island after his lifeboat was attacked by Ramirez's flagship. Vyse took Gonzales part of Daccat's map and buries his remains in the hopes that he would be able to rest in peace.
Once Vyse establishes a base on the island, Gonzales was given a proper grave (which becomes more elegant as improvement are made to Crescent Isle). If one examines the grave, Vyse will tell Gonzales that he’ll always remember him and to watch over him and his crew in their times of need.
