Loopers are a species of monsters. These bizarre tear-shaped creatures have many palette swap counterparts, each with varying levels of strength and elemental attributes fought in different locations in the game. Among many players of Skies of Arcadia, Loopers are infamous for their high dodge percent and their tendency to run away, making it difficult to defeat them.

According to the Loopers' Nest discovery, Loopers are creatures that are rarely seen by even the most seasoned sailors. At birth, they are white, but change color as they grow older.

Looper[]

SOA Looper

A Looper (エルモ Erumo) is a white variant and is Silver-affiliated.

  • Pyri
  • Magic?: This ability doesn't do anything.
  • Run: This monster has the ability to try and run away, thereby removing it from the battle if successful. This ability removes the monster in a way that doesn't count as a kill (the party will not gain any EXP or Gold).

When defeated, Loopers yield 11 EXP, 105 Gold and have a 2% chance of dropping a Thief’s Aura and a 1% chance of dropping a Dexus Seed. They are fought throughout the Mid Ocean, as well as within Shrine Island.
