The Serpantis and Mantoid are a species of monsters. These enemies, resembling large insects similar to the praying mantis, are palette swaps of each other, with varying levels of strength and are fought in different locations in the game. All of the variants in this monster line are green-element.
Serpantis[]
The Serpantis is a pink variant. It can use the following abilities:
- Attack: A physical attack that has a chance of inflicting fatigue on the target.
- Terrible Bite: The monster grabs onto a single party member and starts flailing them around, before slamming them back onto the ground, inflicting damage. This ability also has a chance of inflicting Fatigue.
- Pyres
When defeated Serpantis yields 357 EXP, 144 Gold and have a 4% chance of dropping a Magic Droplet. They are seldom fought in Moonstone Mountain, mainly in the small room with the Ixa'taken slave.

Mantoid[]
The Mantoid is a yellow and pink variant. It can use the following abilities:
- Attack: A physical attack that has a chance of inflicting fatigue on the target.
- Terrible Bite: The monster grabs onto a single party member and starts flailing them around, before slamming them back onto the ground, inflicting damage. This ability also has a chance of inflicting Fatigue.
- Pyrum
When defeated Mantoid yields 940 EXP, 1266 Gold and have a 2% chance of dropping a Zaal Seed. They are fought in Mount Kazai.
